Eriswell Parish Council (EPC) was first formed at an open meeting held on 4th December 1894. On this day a chairman and 7 councillors were elected by the community.

The EPC has existed for over 128 years.

In 1966 Mrs S Brunning became the 1st woman councillor.

There were only 4 woman elected as councillors in the first 100 years of EPC history.

In 2003 Mrs. Pearl Brunning was elected Eriswell Parish chairperson, the 1st woman to hold this post.
